2024 is the 20th Anniversary of Alumni & Friends Reunion Weekend and we have some exciting new ideas up our sleeves.....stay tuned!

2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the Johnsonburg Community Trust’s Alumni & Friends Reunion Weekend.

This year’s event will take place on Friday, July 12th & Saturday July 13th.

We have a busy weekend planned for our community and we are expecting a record-breaking turnout!

Friday night, we’ll kick off the weekend in historic downtown Johnsonburg. Market Street will be center stage for our Artisan & Heritage Market, exhibits/displays in the soon to be open Heritage Education & Welcome Center, live music from our headliner Trixx, food trucks, local business specials, as well as a spectacular fireworks display sponsored by the Johnsonburg Borough & Domtar.

Saturday night (this is where we're switching things up a bit) will include an evening of delicious food, drinks, reminiscing, & dancing at the Johnsonburg Community Center. We plan on making this an indoor/outdoor event that everyone will enjoy!

PARTY on New Year's Eve with the Johnsonburg Community Trust

Ring in the New Year with the Johnsonburg Community Trust and One Last Breath, December 31, 8:30 to 12:30 We have some great details for this NYE event to keep all entertained and festive.

You can look for your local favorite band One Last Breath, specialty mixed drinks, sauerkraut buffet with hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Look also for a champagne wall and other details to enhance this great event.

The Johnsonburg Community Trust and the Johnsonburg Chamber of Commerce are working together this year with each adding their own unique skill sets to the planning of the 19th annual Alumni & Friends event. Many new and exciting details or activities have been and are continuing to be added to this 3 day event now being held 2nd weekend in July.

The Johnsonburg 19th Annual Alumni & Friends Reunion Weekend is really coming together for this year's event!

Friday party on Market Street for all, 4-11! Great bands starting with Billy Mac at 4:30 and headlining The Trixx Band at 7:00.

Saturday:

🐏Scavenger Hunt 10-12 by vehicle, Mecca-Mann Mission Kaysie’s Birthday Celebration w/bouncy house 12-4, the Kindness Rocks & Smiles Project Mural program, family fun activities including touch-a-truck with the JBG Borough, JCC games on the patio, Revolution Hip-Hop is performing and food provided by local organizations during the day on the 600 block of Market Street.

Many have asked through the years to have a DJ for the Firehall event on Saturday so this year we have booked Mike Kreckel DJ Services.

At dusk, on New Year’s Eve, enjoy a luminaries-lit walking tour of the Borough of Johnsonburg’s remarkable, turn-of the-1900s facades

Hot drinks and self-guided-tour maps available at the Trust’s Heritage-Education Center, Brick Block Bay 1, 569 Market Street, Johnsonburg, PA, 15845

Luminaries to be lit starting at 7pm on 12/31/2020.

This annual event not only lights up the night but also illuminates hundreds of memories with lit, memorial luminaries lining blocks of the borough’s historic, downtown commercial district.

Memorial luminaries may be purchased for $5.00 mailed to-- JCT, P.O. Box 43, Johnsonburg, PA, 15845-0043. Please include the details of your memoriam. A listing of luminary memorials will be published in the 130-year-old Johnsonburg Press, listed on the Trust’s Website and social media, and displayed in the window of the Trust’s Heritage-Education Center.

The Johnsonburg Community Trust presents our 2nd annual Festival of Flavors on Saturday, September 26th, 2020, from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm.

Please join us during this unique, cultural-heritage outdoor event, at the historic Johnsonburg Community Center. Enjoy local wine, beer, and food offerings, LIVE music, and an evening of warmth beside open fires, and under the stars, in the Pennsylvania Wilds.

🍷 The $20 entrance fee includes--this year's limited-edition tasting glass, access to live music, small-batch-crafted alcohol samplings & hors d'oeuvres. Valid ID for 21+ is required at the gate.

However, please know that some borough alumni are considering gathering at the Trust’s July 26th BBQ Blowout, to take advantage of Elk County’s currently green status for gatherings.

The Paper City BBQ Blowout

The Johnsonburg Community Trust is hosting our first annual Paper City BBQ Blowout Competition, open to the public from 11am-6pm, on Sunday, July 26th, 2020 (as long as PA remains in green pandemic status).

This event will be held in front of the Johnsonburg Community Center at 600 Market Street, Johnsonburg. Entertainment includes a DJ and live musical performers from 11am-6pm on Sunday. (The Trust will charge a $10 admission fee and will be selling beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and additional side dishes during the event.) Please bring your lawn chair and come spend an afternoon of BBQ and entertainment!
